Love your site! One comment – you have a ditloid question – 800 C crowned HRE by PL the T. In fact he was only crowned as Emperor of the Romans so as to distinguish from the Roman Emperor in Constantinople. The ‘Holy’ bit was only introduced much later , in the 12 or 13 th century.
